FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT
SHERYL A. BERNARD, RN, MHSc, PhD (Candidate), CHE
Pushing your company beyond its comfort zone to realize its greatest potential
If you are a Chief Operating Officer or Executive Director experiencing operational inefficiencies or are ready for a paradigm shift in your company, Sheryl A. Bernard often comes to mind; not just because she is a strategic thinker and a seasoned change agent, but because she has a unique approach to successfully guiding her clients from ‘vision to victory’. She takes the time to get a clear understanding of what the company understands or perceives their issues to be, then in collaboration with the design team she takes a ‘deep’ operational, financial or clinical dive and collaboratively makes a detailed assessment; strategically maps out the future direction, makes recommendations and works with the team to implement the recommendations to improve the overall performance of the company. The plan often includes people development, from governance to front-line which enables the team to work synergistically towards common goals. Sheryl’s niche market includes group homes, retirement homes, long-term care homes, or small business start-ups; taking her clients from ‘concept to reality’.
Sheryl is a registered nurse, principal consultant and owner of Bernard Consultancy Services. She consults in organization process reviews, program or service development, system evaluation and improvement. She develops organization strategic directions and actions plans to ensure compliance with regulatory acts, care and practice standards.
Her progressive 25+ year career in clinical operations, business administration and industry best practices and governance acumen enables her to provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ approach. She is known for supporting corporations through complex organizational change and successful transitions. Her change leadership experience includes directing the co-design of clinical services, preparing management teams and front-line staff for strategic growth by guiding the deployment of change models. Sheryl is the Founding President for a Registered Charity, the Jamaican Canadian Association or Nurses.
